Seasonal Tracks
Taking an aerial perspective of paddock spaces; exploring relationships between shifting and permanent spaces that exist on farms. The apparent permanence of a fence line is relative and may disappear over time while the tracks of animals may be erased by the next strong wind or rainy day. The aim of the work is to question our sense of time within place and to create an awareness of the effects of seasonal and elemental changes upon us. Paper surfaces are scorched, scoured, stained and quenched to create layers of marks, recording the makers mark as metaphor of elemental change.
